Hey Guys, I was wondering how many of your offices are starting to make iPads (or comparable tablets) a part of their everyday workflow? And to what degree?

Our firm is considering purchasing iPads for all of the project managers in the office. Right now we have been using the couple we have in the office to show our portfolio and show precedent images, but we would like to step up their usage. So, I wanted to see how other people might be integrating them into their offices.

Kevin, I'm on the same page. Spoke to a friend who is an architect, she has an ipad.  Asked  her if and how she used it for work. She answered that it is a great and expensive toy. Either she has no idea how to use it for work or she is right on the money.

I'm curious as to what some of the comments are going to be. I have an iphone but  the images are too small for sharing with a client or contractor. Another friend of mine is a pilot and uses it for his charts, saves on space and weight on the plane.

If I hear enough positive feedback, I'll make the investment.

I'd like to see a lot more discussion on this topic - they're too expensive if they're toys, but if you can REALLY utilize them they could be invaluable. Kevin - check out the other discussions on tablets, how people use them and what software they use...there have been a couple of like discussions lately but I was too lazy to put mine in 'technology'!
