Hello People,

Is there anyone who can share their experience with this test at this point?

Many Thanks!

I took it yesterday. The grading was actually pretty easy and was only a fraction of what was tested. If you look through the Clarb description of what is being tested (preparation of all CDs) it is pretty accurate. Be prepared to answer questions about what information is included in which parts of the Construction Documents and traditional construction practices.

Thanks Leslie,

I have previously passed section D but now need to retake due to not having passed E.

I wonder if you are familiar with D? And if so, how you would compare the two tests.

Best Wishes - Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I can't help you there, I only took A and B knowing the format would change. But the test feels similar in the way questions are posed.
There are a lot of multiple choice in the form of "choose all that apply".
If you've already passed D, can do the ASLA vignettes and you have experience with preparing CDs I'd say you shouldn't worry.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Thanks a bunch Leslie.

Jennifer I'm in the same boat you are; I have to take Section 4  and that's it ( have passed all the other sections). I was really hoping there would be some activity on here from the people who took it in December so we can get a feel for what's it's like. Thanks to Leslie for your feedback.

Maybe I need to post an open call to them, to provide us feedback... or maybe they don't want to spill the beans, since they had the misfortune of being the guinea pigs. Of course, it was their choice to take it though!

I'll post the question, and see if we can get some responses. I just saw the pass rate on the CLARB website for Section 4 was 45%. Better than it used to be. but still a pretty dismal pass rate.

:) Good luck to us all

Hi, I took it and passed. I agree with Leslie above.

You may find people reluctant to discuss since they make you sign a waver before you take the exam that you will not discuss the exam with other candidates or on social media etc.

true...but honestly I'm really only curious about general format, etc.. the kind of stuff CLARB OUGHT  to be making available to us anyway. :)
