Thank you for this. I have always been a great admirer of Laurie Olin. His collaborative work with Zimmer Gunsel Frasca (ZGF) on Directors Plaza in Portland Oregon was a royal success and addition to a city with a legacy of great public spaces. It is now one more civic treasure.

Permalink Reply by Trace One on June 18, 2012 at 1:35pm Yes, thanks Henry - always interested in Laurie Olin, and miss his taskmaster cohort Bob Hanna, he was great to have as a professor, but always with the cigarettes, of course. I love Bryant Park, but I do remember Laurie Olin talking at Penn about Canary Wharf in London - "We are there to fill the space between the buildings" he told us - I think he has evolved his talking points since then, judging by this interview..
