Anyone know where one could find what the plant list or the planting plan of a particular project can be found?  I would love to know what was planted at  Discovery Green or Playa Vista or any other compelling project...but the best I can do is drive around it in google earth and see what I can ID.

Thanks!

In a word, the answer is, No.

The recently completed Los Angeles Grand Park has many plants ID'd with really nice signage, but the park's website http://grandparkla.org/ lacks the info.

However, if you feed inner geek, you'll eventually be able to do plant ID at 40mph.  It just takes time to learn this stuff.

Some municipalities host an online database of approved improvement plans or you could call the town planning office. There are ways. You might also find the firm and shoot them an email, never hurts.

Sometimes you can find landscape plans, but it makes a site more interesting to visit, if you can ID the plants yourself.

Sometimes you will discover scenery programs, but it creates a website more exciting to check out, if you can ID the vegetation yourself.

If you are really curious it does not hurt to just ask. Either email the Firm who designed it or the contractor who built it.

I am always amazed and what I can get by just asking.
