Hello,

I am reaching out for information about transfer-ability of qualifications and registration between the US and the UK. I am a US based landscape designer with an MLA and two years of experience and will be sitting for the LARE in a few months.

My wife is from the UK and is potentially interested in returning once she finishes her post-doc. I know that salaries in the UK are much lower (sadly) and yes, brexit sucks, but will my professional registration be recognized by the landscape institute or will I have to "do it all over again"? Is there some kind of reciprocity? What steps would I have to take?

Detailed reposes would be helpful, as would any advice about finding good jobs in the UK (not in London, most likely in the north west) with US resume/skillset.

Thanks,

Andrew

Project Manager Training? 4 Replies

I was wondering if anybody out there had a formal or informal PM "break in" or training program. The PM programs that I've looked into don't really apply to landscape architecture. There's got to be something for architecture or another allied field…Continue
