Not a lot of pure Landscape Architecture jobs out there right now. You need to get networking. I've had some contract work from asking around through people I've been involved with over the years. Keep busy, the NZILA always needs help with events like conferences, spring lecture series and the like. Volunteering still keeps your hand in the game.

I am from the US but am looking to work in New Zealand. I have already looked at the NZILA website. If you guys could help me in sharing your job hunting experiences or advice I would greatly appreciate it to start my dream.

Hey, my sister just received her residency for New Zealand and I'll finally have a good excuse to visit, when she and her kiwi "get married" (as we call it in the states)... I'm so glad too, now she can always send me issues of urbis landscapes! my favorite.
