Adit, Thank you very much for your response. LA Journal is a fantastic resource. Unfortunately I have discovered that it is hard to find books on LA in India.

Perhaps there are some good blogs or websites?

There are practically no good books on landscape architecture in India and a simple search on Amazon will prove that. The profession and practitioners haven't been well documented though people keep on talking about doing it. What we do have is an excellent journal which has been around for over 10 years (full disclosure - I am the advisory editor) and it is available in print form, and for readers abroad, in digital form as well.

Natalia,

Mumbai lies in a humid sub-tropical environment (as compared to dry sub-tropical inland) so most pan-tropical plants from south America and south-east Asia will do well there. The only thing to be concerned about is that if you're very close to the sea, then the plants need to be salt spray tolerant.

The absolutely best reference book to get, if you can, is Tropical Garden Plants In Colour by Bose & Chowdhury. It has been the bible for Indian landscape architects for decades.

Hello Natalia- Here is a link to 1 of the plant nurseries located in India.

The plant lists on this website give a pretty good idea about the commonly used landscape plants in India.
Hope this helps!

Does anybody have any experience with LEED projects in India? We are working on a possible LEED ND project in Tamil Nadu and I'm not sure how some of the US requirements will transfer over there. Is the USGBC pretty amenable to adjusting the prerequisites based on differences in infrastructure systems?
(N.B., I'm going to repeat this question over on the LEED discussion, too.)

"Hello Jhon, I really like the way your designs look. I was wandering what kind of effects and masks you use to get this kind of final image. You use Photoshop for that right?"
