I'm looking to do an intensive green roof with a pumice granular drainage layer. Can anyone point me to existing projects using a pumice granular drainage layer?

Comment by Evan Tozier on July 19, 2011 at 9:12am Look into Dusty Gedge. I had the fortune of meeting this character a few weeks ago. http://dustygedge.co.uk/index.html He has a manual available for download (and a few dollars) that gives instructions on how to do 'gorilla green roofs'. That is to say, inexpensive and great. You may not need the plans for the structure that greenroofplans.com offers. Geotextile, geomembrane (EPDM pond liner) geotextile, growmedia, plants, framing. That's all you'll need for one that small - unless you've got a steep slope, then add retention. It's at the bottom of his green roof page.

Comment by Katie Hartman on July 19, 2011 at 6:21am Anyone have a great source for construction drawings for green roofs?
We are doing a small (7' x 7') one on a micro residence/greenhouse/chicken coop.... so looking to build with small scale, cost effective/appropriate materials.
