Comment by Daniel Meier on February 19, 2013 at 1:47pm Hi, I graduated the MLA program from OSU this past summer, and recently began the much anticipated job search. I moved to Chicago on a leap of faith a few months ago, but have found it is a very tough market (as many other cities are). I am posting with regards to any potential opportunities related to LA or urban design entry level positions. I am open to relocate almost anywhere.
Thanks,
Dan
Comment by Séfora Chavarria on February 2, 2012 at 8:49pm LAbash (landscape architecture bash) is a student run conference that serves as a platform for students from various universities to converge, exchange ideas and celebrate their passion for landscape architecture.
LAbash was conceptualized in 1970 by three students from the University of Guelph looking for an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and skills with various schools around North America. It’s immense success has continued to make it an annual tradition and is always highly anticipated by students and young emerging professionals during Spring Break.
The 2012 Conference will be hosted by the Florida International University Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in our campus facilities in Miami and our newly inaugurated facilities at 420 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach [ Miami Beach Urban Studios - MBUS ].
The Conference will bring together students and professionals for three amazing days highlighting the unique aspects of the design industry through:
Educational Sessions, World Class Keynotes, Graphic Workshops Special Events, Design Charette, Exhibitors, Publishers, Social Events + More!
Our theme, Urban Oasis, will focus on the dynamic function that urban landscapes have in shaping the future of our cities. In recent years, landscape architecture has taken a more prominent role as a force that informs the urban condition and the critical relationships between humans and their urban environments.
