I've been interested in remediation since my undergraduate days in the '90's. I tried to get the office I worked at into this kind of stuff and it seemed all uphill. The civils and other engineers seemed to have it all wrapped up except for shrubing in up after they were done. I'm still really interested in brownfields and re-use, just frustrating as a landscape architect - at least here in AZ.

How can landscape architects become cultural middlemen for site decontamination? Remediation doesn't only have to be about soil borings and lab tests. Cleaning up junk can be an opportunity for new landscape experiences, typologies, and processes to emerge. Let me hear your thoughts.
