Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect

Wimmer Yamada and Caughey is seeking a full time Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join our team. WYAC is the most established and recognized Landscape Architecture / Land Planning firm in San Diego, having designed and developed countless creative, innovative, and timeless spaces throughout our 63 years history. We have a diverse portfolio consisting of public parks, master-planned communities, retail and entertainment venues, higher education projects, military, and urban core spaces.


We are seeking full-time candidates with three (3) to five (5) years of office experience to join our dynamic and diverse team. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, be proficient in AutoCAD, and have a basic knowledge of LandFX. A dedicated Landscape Architect with strong design and communication skills, creativity and problem solving abilities is a must, and candidates shall be self-motivated, pro-active, and have a passion for design. Candidates will be required to move between multiple aspects of a project from concept to construction drawings involving but not limited to planting, hardscape, irrigation, construction details, construction document package development and coordination with other disciplines.


Our Studio uses a variety of software programs such as SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, BlueBeam, and InDesign. Other programs include Microsoft Office Suite, and Deltek.


Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive compensation package including medical, dental insurance, a 401(k) program, profit sharing, and other excellent benefits.
