Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer
Santa Monica, CA
Full-Time

Full time, entry-level position with Urban Water Group, an innovative design-build firm based in Santa Monica that specializes in drought-resilient landscapes for environmentally-minded residential clients.

A degree or certificate in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school is required. Prior work experience in landscape design, construction, or project management is desirable.

Responsibilities will include assisting the firm’s Principals in preparing conceptual design presentations; producing construction documents for hardscape, planting, and irrigation; developing Model Water Efficiency Landscape Ordinance submittal documents; and assisting with construction management.

The successful candidate will receive mentoring and training from the firm’s Landscape Architect and design principals, working in a small office environment which offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement. We seek a self-motivated team player with a strong desire to learn, and who possesses strong skills in listening, writing, creative problem solving, spatial thinking and task management.

Proficiency required in Autocad, Photoshop and MS Office. Familiarity with SketchUp, LandF/X, Adobe Creative Suite, VectorWorks, as well as an ability to communicate with hand graphics are a plus.
