To celebrate 151st anniversary of Italy Nation Founding, in collaboration with Crystal Design Center and Italian Furniture Brand, Magis, TROP designed this Melting Magis.

Here is the concept description:
Bangkok is too hot nowadays. No, not only Bangkok, actually the whole Planet Earth is getting too hot. Years ago, when scientists warned us of the problem, we thought they were crazy. The Planet is so huge, how could small creatures, like us, change its climate.

Well, in less than 10 years, we found that, unfortunately, we could. Polar Ice keeps melting. Forests keep being destroyed. Animals lost their homes. The funny thing is that we still do not care.

As a landscape architect, TROP would like to express our concern regarding this Global Warming crisis. So instead of decorating the Magis with paints or other beautiful ornaments, we visualized a Metal Magis in our mind. Then we imagined the situation when the Earth is getting extremely hot. So hot that even our Metal Magis would melt.
