Teaming up with the owner-architect, we set out to update the exterior spaces to integrate with the mid-century modern house architecture and providing the young family with more usable outdoor areas. We emphasized the indoor/outdoor flow and created multiple spaces for play and enjoyment. Lush planting, with flowering trees, seasonal color interest and edible delights, introduces the garden and continues throughout the property.
This project has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Landscape Management magazine, the locally renowned Children's Support League "Heart of the Home" tour. It also won "Best Outdoor Living Space" in the 2013 Piedmont Planning Commission Design Awards.
