Visiting with friends, and taking a course on vineyard care, plant management and pruning. Mostly as a guest of my friend. She was already signed up for it, so I am tagging along, but what a great way to see the Hill Country. I'm excited. Red Caboose Vineyard & Winery is where we will be.

Heather! Wonderful to hear back from you! I am a crazy person this week, like most weeks though really! I am definitely an email person and can be reached at jkuebler@jklastudio.com
This conference is exciting and challenging at the same time, as you can probably guess. We on the LA side are looking to have a strong presentation on WHY SSI is necessary and what the plan for roll out into LEED will be. Letting both the LAs and Archs in the group what to expect in the next few years, and why it is a huge benefit. Let me know what you think!
Thanks
Joy

You are welcome, Heather. it was good to reflect on this topic after being the dirt so much over the last few years. I enjoyed your comments too -- good food for thought. So, do you design residential gardens? I have been to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center years ago. What are other examples of native and/or sustainable gardens in the Austin area? I heard Pliny Fiske was doing something cool for his new office set-up.

Heather - Thanks for the invite! Hope you're doing well. Lots of interesting people and topics on this site.....wish I had more time to spend more time.

Is Emmett helping with the family consulting business as yet?... I'll bet there are some days you have way more help than you need....

Take care.
