Between 1926 and 1955, landscape architect Fletcher Steele and his client Mabel Choate created many new gardens for Naumkeag, the Choate family summer estate in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of a copy of the Pioneers of American Landscape Design and look them up. Thanks for the tip!

I'd especially love to see what the library might have about the Olmsted Firm. I had a few relatives involved with it in the 1910s and 20s, and have always hoped to find out more about my forbears' work there.
