Hello my name is Valentina Camillo, and am an Italian landscape designer. I have been working independently since 2007 as a landscape designer for private/public gardens and green spaces, following my projects from draft to construction sites, working sometimes also as a manual laborer. I have very good knowledge of plants and am also keen on graphic editing. Two years ago I took a postgraduate course on digital architecture at Architecture Institute of Venice (IUAV) .
I studied one year in Denmark (2010-11) as exchange student at Landscape Architecture Faculty (Københavns Universitet), and worked as a gardener at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in the UK. Recently I have followed a refresher course on green roof and wall (in-outdoor) planning at NaturaMea in Brescia, Italy therefore I’m currently specializing in tropical plants.
I am an energetic person, determined and my main strengths are creativity, precision and originality. I could bring, from different experiences ,a lot of knowledge concerning two different subjects such as architecture and botany combined together, which could make a substantial difference during the planning process, unlike many highly sectored professionals.
I promote and organize artistic events for the enhancement of urban decay through landart and site-specific actions wherein sometimes I attend to as woodworker artist. I am passionate about sustainable architecture and love working with wood, making furniture for outdoor using also recycled material.
