Finally after two and a half whole months of 40+ hr weeks!!! Ugh..(picking up the sarcasm?)
But really, I'm ready to get back to school Tuesday for my fifth and final year at CSU...hopefully. Took a day off to register for classes today (yes, a little late). It was nice to get out in the sun and jump through all the financial aid hoops CSU requires. But I've reached the home stretch.

Yesterday I briefed a small team on tasks related to my 2 new residential landscape jobs, need to focus on the main entry points for now to get the sense of arrival sorted. I then asked an assistant to refine 4 villa garden design prototypes for sending to the UK office for comment and booked up my flights to Bahrain on Saturday.

Phew...by Thursday evening I had only wrapped up my final responses and revised proposal for the Suzhou Industrial Park project following a rigorous tender board interview in the morning. It was 8:30pm and I still needed to get through 21 emails, and draw up 2 master plans (sketch presentation) for a meeting on Friday. It was a late night and by 2:30am under dimming lights I'd pretty much achieved what I wanted for the drawing.

Last Friday our office received a cold call from a real estate developer in Beijing asking to find out more about what we do and if we were interested in doing the landscape design for an urban streetscape. What a day!! I had about 2 hours this morning to pull together some company profile information and project description sheets of landscape works related to urban highways and form the outline of a fee proposal. Had to get that sent off to a 'cold call' client from Gu'an near Beijing. (Cleared), Then had a meeting with our CEO who announced I've been promoted to an Associate Director (Nice one).
