Between 1926 and 1955, landscape architect Fletcher Steele and his client Mabel Choate created many new gardens for Naumkeag, the Choate family summer estate in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The second film in the LALH America by Design series chronicles this long and intimate collaboration, which produced an unforgettable place. We posted it on our website in December and invite you to watch it now (12 min.): Fletcher Steele and Naumkeag.
Tell us what you think! And if you would like to screen an LALH film at a special event or conference, we will make it available for the cost of postage and handling. Please feel free to connect with me here on Land8, Jane Roy Brown.
Best wishes for 2013,
Jane

Comment by Shannon J Mikus on January 18, 2013 at 7:56pm I had never heard of this place, but have seen the stairs in many presentations. Now I know the context, and feel more complete.
