DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this award is to aid in the professional development and success of young and emerging leaders in our profession by covering the costs associated with attendance at the virtual Conference on Landscape Architecture. \nThe 2020 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture will offer more than 120 education opportunities\, allowing attendees to fulfill their professional development requirements and network with engaged and diverse professionals from all over the world over the course of four days (October 2-5\, 2020). The 2020 Conference will be held online due to COVID concerns. \nThe Award\nThe award will cover the cost of full registration for the conference. To enhance the online Conference program and give VIP access to this year’s Scholars\, we will offer a special curated WxLA experience with an emphasis on leadership\, inspiration and mentorship. \nEligibility\nNominees must be early to mid-career (in first five years of practice) who do not have access or support to attend the conference otherwise. The scholarship intends to promote gender justice and help level the playing field for women in the profession. As such\, preference will be given to female candidates (including non-binary and transgendered female candidates). \nNominations\nNominators are encouraged to submit the name of a colleague or self-nominate. Nominations must be received by August 15\, 2020.
