Landscape Designer/Project Manager
Minimum 6 years experience

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 years experience working as a Landscape Designer. Candidates will demonstrate strong design and graphic production skills. Knowledge of the various local South Florida County and Municipal entitlement and permitting processes is preferred. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a full range of knowledge for the all phases of the design process, Conceptual through Construction Administration. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with proficiency in developing Construction Documents. Experience with project management and and consultant coordination experience is required. All candidates must be detailed oriented, display time management skills, and flexible to working on various project types in different phases of design simultaneously. Working collaboratively, showing a positive attitude, and thinking critically will be expected.

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University or College
  • Either registered or the desire to become registered
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably local to the South Florida Region
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, LandFX and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling programs (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion)
  • Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Exemplifies high level site design skills
  • Responsible, hard-working and self-motivated
  • Ability to self-edit work and command a high level of accuracy

Other responsibilities would include:

  • Work directly with the principals serving as project manager
  • Develop drawing sets and presentation packages
  • Conduct research, prepare site reviews, analysis and on-site construction administration
  • Ability to construct and manage CAD drawings in accordance with oce standards
  • Production of construction drawings, details and specifications

Additional skills a plus:

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Experience in speaking + presentation skills
  • Knowledge of subtropical plant material,
  • native to South Florida and Caribbean
