TITLE: Designer
STUDIO: Various
REPORTS TO: Principal
LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale

To work with and assist a studio in the production of a variety planning, landscape architecture and urban design project responsibilities and assignments.

As a Designer, the job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with a design team in the preparation and production of plans, design drawings,renderings and construction documents as directed by the project manager in various stages ofdesign to include:
    • Vision Planning
    • Master Planning
    • Site Design
    • Conceptual Design
    • Schematic Design
    • Design Development
    • Construction Documentation
    • Construction Observation
  • Gather data and assist in project analysis
  • Determine data collection methods and conduct site analysis and research
  • Perform limited technical studies and investigations for a variety of conditions present at project sites
  • Attend nursery and site construction observation visits in support of senior design team members
  • Aid in the preparation for planning/design workshops
  • Aid with developing reports and project presentations for clients and consultants
  • Aid in development of project correspondence and meeting minutes
  • Develop a list of contacts for business development efforts
  • Proactively assist the studio with its needs and responsibilities
  • Participate in and contribute to corporate responsibilities within the organization as called upon by the Board of Directors, President or Principals of the organization
  • Participate in the local chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and other similar professional or civic organizations
  • Perform other duties as requested related to projects, business development or office efforts



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or a relevant design field
  • 0-1 year of experience in Landscape Architecture or a relevant field.
  • Strong design skills
  • Strong hand graphic skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English; speaking, reading and writing


  • Internship experience in landscape architecture or a relevant field
  • Licensed Landscape Architect (active status)
  • Bilingual
  • Experience with SketchUp and other 3D software
