Entry Level Landscape Architect

EDSA, one of the world’s leading landscape architecture, planning and design firms, is seeking an entry level landscape architect to work in our New York office.


The candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a relevant design field. They must also have strong hand graphic and design skills with proficiency in AutoCAD, the Adobe Suite, Sketch-Up or other 3D modeling software, and the Microsoft Office Suite. The ideal candidate has had previous internship or professional experience in a landscape architecture firm or a related field. They also possess a positive attitude, a strong sense of accountability, excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.


As a designer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Collaborating with a design team in the preparation and production of plans, design drawings, renderings and construction documents as directed by the project manager in various stages of design;
Gathering data and assisting in project analysis;
Aiding in the preparation for planning/design workshops;
Aiding with the development of reports and project presentations for clients and consultants;
Aiding in the development of project correspondence and meeting minutes;
Developing a list of contacts for business development efforts;
Participating in and contributing to corporate responsibilities within the organization as called upon by the Board of Directors, President or Principals of the organization;
Participating in the local chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and other similar professional or civic organizations;
Performing other duties as requested related to projects, business development or office efforts;
Traveling, when necessary.
