Who We Are:
Glen Gate is an award-winning landscape architecture/construction/maintenance firm working exclusively in the high-end residential market, located in Fairfield County, 40 minutes outside of New York City. Our projects incorporate complete property master planning, and all related disciplines including the design of landscapes, hardscape elements, swimming pools, water features, irrigation, lighting, structural and herbaceous plantings, as well as architectural components including cabanas, garden structures, and moderate residential modifications. Performance of construction and maintenance work is executed by in-house crews and a few selected vendors.

How We Work:
The design team creates entire master plans for all the components of the residential landscape. The work environment is collaborative and friendly, but always professional and client focused.
At Glen Gate, all levels of design staff have the unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the installation/building process and gain invaluable experience and knowledge working closely with our professional Construction Team. You will also have the very real potential to make meaningful contributions to our projects and see your contributions to our design projects through to their completion. We are seeking creative individuals with a great sense of design and aesthetics who are eager to learn and contribute quickly to our design work. You must be detail oriented and organized. You will need to be able to operate in a fast-paced environment, be energetic, diligent and dedicated.
This position requires assisting Principal Designers and Senior Project Designers with the following:
Site Analysis and Base plan Preparation, Regulatory Research, Design Conceptualization, Preparation of Presentation Drawings, as well as extensive Design Detailing and Construction Documentation. You must also possess solid verbal and communication skills
Candidates must have 1- 3 years experience working at a Design Firm.
Candidates must be proficient in several of the following software programs/operating systems:
AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
Candidates must be proficient in all of the following areas:
Hand graphic and rendering skills, grading and drainage, horticulture knowledge and written and verbal communication.
Also required: a degree in Landscape Architecture or the equivalent in the Landscape Design field. Secondary degrees in the arts or international travel a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience
