DESCRIPTION: The Houston office of Kudela & Weinheimer, Inc. (K&W) is seeking progressive, project designers/architects with an understanding of construction methodology, a good knowledge of plant materials and a dynamic, well-rounded and confident design sense. This individual is resourceful, self-disciplined, a problem solver and customer service driven.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
0 – 5 years of previous experience required
Experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong organization, leadership and time management skills
Ability to work in a project team setting on a self-directed basis
Knowledge of plant materials, master planning, site planning, construction documents and hardscape/landscape design
Understanding of project budgeting and project deadlines
Has a strong ability to communicate graphically and think analytically by translating conceptual drawings into concise construction drawings. Ex. “Can a contractor build my drawing?”
