I just saw this link to a winter/spring lecture series at the National Building Museum about historical designers that looks really good.  February, 2nd they talk about Frederick Law Olmsted; March 17th about Daniel Burnham; and April, 14th about John Russel Pope and the historical background and wider environment in which they designed.

I appreciate the debate the wider LA profession has about the benefits/tradeoffs of the FLO legacy but never miss an opportunity to advance my understanding of his work and the wider environment and time his work was crafted in which this lecture covers.
