has anyone studied the concept and whether it is technicaly possible to recreate the Hanging Gardens of Babylon ; in essence several terraces, with enough soil on each level to grow trees and a process to raise water embedded into the structure ?

With the building tech then or now? Shouldn’t be too difficult even then, though the water well pressure might be a factor… these days it should be a piece of cake.
