I have designed a garden in a native environment in Ensenada, Baja California, and it’s been installed for about 1.5 years. Few months back we started having a lot of rabbits, eating all the mulhenbergia, and other grasses installed as part of the garden. Now they even started eating the agaves!
Does anybody have any ideas how to protect the plants from being eaten by rabbits. We’ve try using powder around the shrubs/grasses… didn’t work, then we try to place a fake owl within the garden, which kept them away for a time, but I think they realize that the owl was not much active :)… so now they are back and really disseminating the garden.
Any ideas? Dow anyone encounter the same problem?
Thanks for any type of ideas you might have!
