I’m visiting Japan in a couple of weeks and will be traveling to Kyoto. I have a list of historic gardens to visit (the classics like Ryoan-ji, Golden temple, etc) but am interested to know if anyone has any “off the beaten path” suggestions on great landscape architecture examples around this area.
