Right now, I’m thinking of a new design approach or body of knowledge that would add up to my research. Do you have any suggestions or know any case studies/ existing projects with ethnobotanical gardens? I badly need it for my review of related lit and thesis paper. I would appreciate all your comments. thank you!
Besides consulting the Botany Dept. of UPD, why not use the research excuse to visit the Botany Dept. of UPLB. Try contact Dr. Willie Gruezo or anyone from the Systematics group. Take a break in LB too, get to visit Prof. Susan Ong on the side. Whaddya tink?
I’m also thinking of the National Botanical Garden, Limahuli Garden and Preserve, located on Kauai. It is an ethnobotanic garden. The director is Kawika Winter. kwinter@ntbg.org.
Have you read “Tending the Wild” by M. Kat Anderson? Excellent book on how Native Americans lived in California for 10,000 years…also you may wish to read works by Alrie Middlebrook and Judith Larner Lowry.
