Since being out of work as an L.A., I’ve been looking around for Cad jobs, but haven’t seen anything advertised that really fits the level of Cad experience a typical L.A. would have. All of the listings I’ve found want people who have experience applying Cad to very specific skills, mainly in engineering. Most also seem to want people with some sort of degree or certificate in Cad. The typical L.A. only uses about 1/3 or less of AutoCads full capabilities, so I’m wondering if this is even a realistic route to go.
I’m curious to know if anyone around here has ever had luck find a Cad job with an engineering company or architect? And if so, how did you go about it?
The only idea I can think of is to send out some resumes to some civil/architecture firms to see if they need any help.
