I have owned both of these reference books and I am curious if LA’s prefer one over the other and if so, why.
My experience is that Time Saver Standards had good information but it was often hard to find what I was looking for, even when using the index. As of this writing (2018), LA Time Saver Standards (2nd edition) is 20 years old.
Landscape Architectural Graphic Standards (1st Edition), by comparison, is only 10 years old. My experience is that Graphic Standards contains much of the same information as Time Savers, but is half as old and more user friendly as a reference. I prefer Graphic Standards for these reasons. That said, I would love to see both get an update.
