Yes, he studied Green-Wood before he did Central Park… That is why I am saying to look at his information, perhaps there is more written about the lawn park cemeteries in books making reference to him and his work…

A brief history…
Again, not sure where his information is from either…but this summarizes what I learned in school.
Maybe look into Olmsted for reference of what he studied before he did Central Park… -

The problem is that cemeteries in Serbia are mainly related to religion and people are not used to have cemeteries that looks like a park, wood cemeteries or something that is different. And I want to analyze this problem and show that this transformation and design of cemeteries could be a good and pleasant thing for people in my town and…[Read more]

Lots of history to cemetary design..In new england, always put them on the hilltops, for drainage. The beautiful Green-wood Cemetary in Brooklyn, with many famous people buried there, emblematic of the park -style of design that became popular at that time..
slave cemetaries – headstones were unmarked stones – some beautiful examples in Long I…[Read more] -

I went to the link above, and there are pages and pages and pages of community input, workshops and presentations with hundreds of neighbors working on the concept back to July 2010.
Interesting to say its confusing, uncomfortable, inappropriate and unsafe with that much input.
Why is it that if the site…[Read more] -

Thanks, mauiBob.
Your [deleted] comments about timing the market, while initially hard to connect back to my available choices, does drive the point home. When I consider leaving my Extension program for a year and a half and then returning to finish a MLA instead, it does feel like I’m trying to time the market.

I have to say this is certianly an example of Hyper Design. I think they could cut back a bit on the paths.
This view is not really an acurate vision of the plan view. Clicking thru the link provides some interesting views.

Success! That site is dead!
Writing to Google with complaints has shut the site links out of Google completely! I heard nothing from them but decided to check things out this morning and nothing shows up…also, Thomas, I did contact GoDaddy.com and it would seem that the website has been stricken from their register as well. Hey cool piece of art for the guys in the Good Year Blimp to look at as they take shots of Santa Monica for the Lakers game on TNT. I love aerials like the one you posted as nobody will ever see that visual. Not a favorite of mine either, seem like something else could fill the space better than 50 paths to nowhere.

Ha! Clearly you’ve never dealt with MN winter snow removal! MN winters are the reason my southern friends who toyed briefly with living in the north country fled back to south as soon as possible! haha!
