Yes, he studied Green-Wood before he did Central Park… That is why I am saying to look at his information, perhaps there is more written about the lawn park cemeteries in books making reference to him and his work…

Lots of history to cemetary design..In new england, always put them on the hilltops, for drainage. The beautiful Green-wood Cemetary in Brooklyn, with many famous people buried there, emblematic of the park -style of design that became popular at that time..

I went to the link above, and there are pages and pages and pages of community input, workshops and presentations with hundreds of neighbors working on the concept back to July 2010.

I have to say this is certianly an example of Hyper Design. I think they could cut back a bit on the paths.

Hey cool piece of art for the guys in the Good Year Blimp to look at as they take shots of Santa Monica for the Lakers game on TNT.
