There are also Prep Courses at UCLA Extension. So you can get your classes without too much travel cost. I will post those dates later today.
The site http://www.asla.org, under Education is LARE Prep. There are brand new vignettes posted that you can use to practice. These were prepare by CLARB’s test provider for ASLA to provide to candidates.

I agree with Ray, focus, study, practice and a study group is key to sharing information in a quick and comfortable manner.

I would recommend a test prep course because it gives you a good idea of the envrionrmnet of testing which study groups don’t.
