    Job Description for Senior Business DeveloperThis sales position with Turf-masters involves the marketing and selling of horticultural services to a commercial market, These services include landscape maintenance, fertilization, landscape installation and irrigation. The position requires the following skills in order to be successful:Personal Skills and Characteristics1. Self-confidence and enthusiastic personality.2. Self-starter and self-motivator.3. Must be goal oriented.4. Must be an effective communicator at all levels, in both selling situations and with internal office environment.5. Extremely important that a Salesperson can effectively interface with field operations and be perceived as a team player.Selling Skills1. Ability to present our services with a high level of confidence, competence and professionalism.2. Able to quickly evaluate the different personalities encountered in selling situations, adapt to that personality, and effectively present Turf-masters.3. Must be an excellent listener to explore and discover the real needs of the potential client.4. Clear understanding and use of probing skills, body language, eye contact, persistence, assertiveness, etc.5. Consistent thoroughness and follow through when addressing various situations.6. Willingness to pursue various avenues of self-development, regarding marketing, selling, horticulture and other industry related topics.Administrative Skills1. Must be effective time manager.2.
