This position estimates home renovation & landscape construction projects and manages construction projects together with company management and design team. Job Skills Proper and safe skills in performing duties Demonstrate proficiency in management of construction operations paperwork Ability to organize, schedule a design and construction project Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and honestly with management, subcontractors, and clients. Ability to provide instruction and guidance to sub-contractors Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for field operations Adhere to company policies, standards and safety guidelines Able to work with management, designers and sub-contractors as a team Able to manage construction team to meet or exceed company production rates set forth Assists the design team with schematic and conceptual presentations Makes design decisions that meet the needs of external customers while coordinating the impact of such decisions on related project efforts Recommends and prepares change orders Independently communicates on technical matters with the client Duties & Responsibilities Produce design development documents and permit sets Analyze designs and complete take-offs for estimating purposes Produce project correspondence and request for proposals and information Contacts subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for inclusion in estimates Performs bid administration and negotiation Maintain up to date bid chart and comparisons Establishes project critical path Resource allocation, scheduling and coordinating trades and disciplines Schedules and conducts pre-construction meetings with design staff and clients Ensure that all contracts and specifications are documented, approved by client, and billed accordingly Create and maintain job files for projects Job Costing, maintaining budgets and monitoring cash flow Site observation and inspections Invoice approval and payment issuance Change order management and negotiation Manage billing for projects to reflect actual job progress Schedules and oversees field operations with production manager Communicate progress on projects to company management and field staff effectively Monitors call backs and warranty work Conduct final walkthrough with client Develops client relations and sells new jobs Minimum Requirements Self motivated well rounded professional with a combination of personal, professional, technical and communication skills sharing a similar motivation for advancing our practice and profession Demonstrate a strong attention to detail Education Requirements: Architect, Landscape Architect, Designer or Project Manager Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 5 yrs. experience Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, CADD
