The annual Design Live competition will be beginning soon. This year, Sydney!
Check it out on twitter #BuildSydneyLive or #bimboat (yes the headquarters for this competition are currently bobbing up and down in Darling Harbour, Sydney)
BIM centred, this competition brings ultra modern design processes together on a 48 hour, hell for leather race to the finish line where different teams vie for supremacy to produce a world beating integrated design.
This is quite a challenge as you can imagine and Colour Urban Design Limited will be providing the Landscape input to a BIM Academy team which spans four separate (and quite distant) time zones. We are the only Landscape based firm participating in this competition. It is our ambition to push the BIM envelope for Landscape, to raise awareness and develop the expertise needed to ensure Landscape Architecture is integrated into the future of built environment development.
Meanwhile we eagerly await the final brief and our team are poised to go, fingers hovering over keyboards. So, at 1am on the 4th of November (the joy of working across time zones!) the flag will drop and another Build Live competition will commence.
