Hello All,
Anyone have any thoughts about solving this linetype issue I am having??
We use the X—–X—–X—– linetype for existing fences in our drafting standards.
For some reason the existing fence linetype which uses the X isn’t showing up properly per the related image in the second drawing. If I draw it directly into the file it draws like the second image. I purged the linetypes and then copy and pasted the first line into the drawing and it still showed up screwed up. The other fence linetypes with circles and squares are fine. I played with the TSPACEFAC a while ago to get our MTEXT linespace to tighten up and reduce the spacing between multipleline callouts. Since the fence uses an X, which is a letter, perhaps the system variable is moving the X off the line but I am out of ideas otherwise. I played with that this morning and didn’t get anywhere.
Has anyone else ever experienced this??

It’s possible the style or font is different in one of the two files. If the second file came from someone else, the linetype saved in the file may be differently defined but named the same as your own, in which case you would need to completely purge it from that file and reload it from your own defintions.

They had me INSERT the second drawing into the first drawing which had the fence linetype showing up properly and that worked like a charm. I will say though I had to re setup my drawings again from scratch and was able to use the design center to transfer my two PS tabs which was slick but I needed to edit some of my blocked drawing keys/legends and change text from Simplex in the new drawing but otherwise it was slick. I am still not exactly sure that happened but it’s not happening anymore.
Thanks,
