Hi, Im student designer and I would like to design one of these “living walls” with plants growing all over the indoor wall. See attached photo.
But I really need some information about which plants can grow with very little light, can any bulbs compensate for lack of daylight and is there any specific plants that will be more appropriate for an indoor living wall…?

Hopefully someone will find this interesting and give me some advice,

    thank you very much!

There’s a book called Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls by Nigel Dunnett that might be some help. I know there are companies that do indoor planting areas. If you could find one of them, try e-mailing someone.

G-sky is a reputable company that focuses on living wall structures. Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls looks like a good resource, as well. Check it out here.

Also, we have a group started by Jason King that would be of interest to you – http://www.land8lounge.com/group/vegitecture

    Hope this helps!
