Benner Reibel Landscape Architecture (BRLA) is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect in Los Angeles who shares our passion for exceptional design, meticulous detailing, and the art of creating meaningful outdoor spaces.

Benner Reibel Landscape Architecture is a nationally- recognized studio focused on residential and boutique commercial landscape architecture with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  In our work, we collaborate with leading architectural and interior design professionals from around the country.  BRLA’s designs combine modern clarity, classic principles, contemporary California sensibilities and a love of craftsmanship to create spaces for true indoor/outdoor living.  BRLA manages all phases of landscape projects from concept design to construction documentation and construction administration.  BRLA has projects throughout California including in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara County and the San Francisco Bay area. Responsibilities
• Lead landscape architecture projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Develop and oversee design drawings, construction documents, specifications, and consultant coordination.
• Present design concepts and project updates to clients, architects, and project teams.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialty consultants.
• Conduct site visits and oversee construction implementation to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Mentor and support junior staff in design, technical documentation, and professional development.
• Participate in business development efforts, including networking, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
• Contribute to office standards, workflows, and design culture.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• 8 – 15+ years of professional landscape architecture experience.
• California Landscape Architect license preferred; licensure in progress will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex residential and estate-scale projects from concept through construction.
• Strong design sensibility with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client relationships simultaneously.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a desire to mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive studio culture.

Technical Skills & Software
Required
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Land F/X for construction documentation and technical detailing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) for presentations, graphics, and project communication.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, planting design, irrigation design, and construction detailing.
• Experience producing complete construction document sets and coordinating with consultants.

Preferred
• Proficiency in SketchUp and/or Rhino for three-dimensional modeling and design development.
• Experience with Lumion or comparable rendering and visualization software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management platforms.
• Working knowledge of California codes, permitting processes, and consultant coordination.
