As a Senior Project Manager at our firm, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, execution, and successful delivery of projects. Building on the skills and qualifications of a Project Manager, you will take on leadership responsibilities, mentor junior staff, and play an integral role in fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your expertise in managing client relationships, driving project success, and supporting the firm’s strategic goals will contribute to both the growth of the firm and the professional development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and that project milestones are met efficiently. Coordinate resources to maintain workflow and address any scheduling issues.
- Client Presentations: Lead client presentations, clearly communicating project concepts, design proposals, and updates. Tailor presentations to client needs and expectations, reinforcing the firm’s value proposition and capabilities.
- Proposal Writing: Lead the development and writing of project proposals, ensuring that the firm’s strengths and expertise are effectively conveyed. Tailor proposals to align with client needs, project requirements, and the firm’s strategic goals.
- Professional Management Support: Support the professional management of Project Managers, assisting them with achieving project goals, addressing challenges, and ensuring that they meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them to grow professionally and develop their skills. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Manage expectations and resolve any concerns promptly to secure repeat business and long-term client loyalty.
- Leadership and Motivation: Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating the team, encouraging a collaborative work environment, and ensuring that everyone is focused on achieving the firm’s goals. Instill a sense of pride and ownership in the team’s work.
- Goal Implementation: Collaborate with Associates and Principals to implement firm-wide goals and strategies. Contribute to efforts to improve operational efficiency, elevate design quality, and increase profitability.
- Office Direction: Contribute to the strategic direction of the office, helping to shape the firm’s vision, growth trajectory, and overall success. Work closely with senior leadership to define the future image and culture of the firm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with significant experience in project management and client relations.
- Strong leadership qualities and a proven ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in proposal development, client presentations, and business development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant industry programs.
- Proven experience mentoring and developing staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the firm’s long-term goals and success.
Compensation
The annual salary for this position starts at $80,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefit plan that includes medical, dental, prescription, life insurance, long‐term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, and both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) account. We also provide a generous vacation plan, sick time, paid holidays, and half-day Fridays.
