TBG is seeking a Construction Administration Coordinator in our Houston office to provide construction observation support to our studio teams both in the office and in the field for a diverse range of complex landscape architectural projects throughout the region.

Requirements:

Provide project oversite to ensure the contractor is following the intent of the construction contract, with responsibilities like:

  • Conduct preconstruction and construction progress meetings
  • Continually observe construction and review design
  • Coordinate solutions with team members, consultants and clients
  • Hold substantial completion and final acceptance walk throughs

Manage project documentation and flow during the construction phase of projects, including:

  • Compile and issue field reports and project closeout documents
  • Submittals, Shop Drawings, RFI’s, contracts, etc
  • Review applications for payment and change orders

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal com munication skills to foster good working relationships within TBG, and with clients and contractors.
  • Strength in prioritizing multiple short term and long-term tasks with exceptional time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret and compile contract documents
  • Flexibility to manage change, learn quickly, manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines and problem solve independently
  • Ability to represent the firm in a professional manner

Preferred technical skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional architecture, landscape architecture, engineering or construction related position
  • Associate degree in related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge of construction and AIA documents, construction materials, building trades and associated products
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Civcast, Procore, NewForma and MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred
