Yes it is very active – I am a charter member. It now has several hundred members and individual chapters in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore for a start. It also hosts a successful annual conference, earlier held at Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore, and Delhi in that order. The next one end-Jan is being hosted by Mumbai-Goa chapters in Goa.
The new leadership has made the workings of the Executive committee more transparent. As a member one gets regular emails / attachments with updates. The have restarted a newsletter as of this month. The Delhi chapter is working on a compendium of Indian landscape architecture – projects and articles. Their website has always been very weak, but they are working on improving that now.
