Laith, Daniel is always available for real projects.
I find his renderings very approachable, not too fussy and the fact they can be quickly revised and you can generate multiple views (with different shadows etc) makes him a cut above the more static renderings.

I am learning a Vue architectural package with the sketchup import plugin.  The Vue interface is tough and the options for every element are limitless.  It is a steep curve to get usable images.  Rendering an image is also a consideration because you need hours to develop a few images for printing.  The plants and materials and ecosystems and skies in Vue are great.

I use Renderin for quick renderings with great results, but the plants are still lacking.

Sketchup is great for massing and the rendering with plants is a big commitment.

    Best of luck,

You can triple click on a line segment and all lines that touch the selected line are selected.  You then run the ‘weld’ ruby and the selected segments are connected into one line.  This works if lines are connected-

I believe the ‘weld’ ruby is free at smustard web site.

Daniel’s recommendations are good ways to lower the total polygon count and make SU faster

I wanted to applaud Daniel’s review in LAM for Shaderlight renderer.  Daniel’s review is clearly written and well researched.  Shaderlight is only for PC, MAC to follow.

The big advantage for Shaderlight is the background input and realistic shadows based on weather conditions.  I hope to learn more to apply northern CA weather conditions.

I am still reviewing VUE, but right now, Shaderlight seems to answer my needs-

Daniel- Thank you so much for your continued development of the landscape with Sketchup. I will be pouring over the resources above. Have you developed your Vectorworks skills since you SF seminar and will you providing any seminars with VW?

    All the best,
    Bob Cleaver
