I know the material deadline is soon, but seeing them at LABash will probably help your chances so they can put a name with a face.

Personally, I would rather see it opened up to other render engines as well, partially because I use a different one than 3DS now, and also because it would be a good way for people unfamiliar with the strengths of different programs to see what they can do.
