Hi Eric,

 

Thanks for your help. I should have clarified that I am on a MAC. I’ll give it a try again with a new project I am working on now. 

 

1. Do you start the page size using any particular scale?  In SU you can select Preferences then Template and a variety of formats are shown.  Do you use the “Architectural Feet and Inches” template or the “Plan View Feet and Inches” template to start with? 

 

2. Also, before I begin any drawing, under Document Setup, I can un-select the “Fit View to Page” box.  But not until I adjust the Camera view to Parallel Projection can I then change the Print Scale so that 1.25″ in Drawing equals 40′ in Model.  Given that, do you even concern yourself with this adjustment? Or do you just open a new template and begin drawing, adjusting the dwg scale omce you are ready to print?  I guess what confuses me if if one zooms in and out, how do you know when you are at 1:1? hmmm…

I don’t know how I did it before but I “right” clicked on the mouse, and selected Edit Group as u suggested. Maybe I’m just getting mixed up with CAD since I am learning that now, too!
