Hi again Alba,
the discussion I followed and found interesting is
Thoughts about software | LinkedIn
maybe you can see it now, the ones you mentioned are also discussed there, I just add the part I found most interesting ..
• I have been using both AutoCAD and Vectorworks Landmark (which is heavily used in the New Zealand Landscape Market). Although Vectorworks Landmark has a neat planting plan solution, i find it a bit cumbersome and unstable.
The most widely used format in the construction industry seems to be dwg with microstation (dgn) a close second, these 2 formats are also interchangeable (you can xref one to the other) making coordination with other consultants incredibly easy.
I’m not sure if Microstation has a Landscape version or add on, but i would choose AutoCAD as it can be customised quite easily and add ons are constantly being developed by third parties, vectorworks was developed for a Mac so customisation is a pain.
My preference would be AutoCAD and get a Planting Plan Add-on for our peculiar needs, there are plenty out there, one in europe that comes to mind is:

in fact I have’t used any of them yet, except archicad, but now I think keyscape on autocad or sketchup would be appropriate as they are widely used by LA .
Do you know keyscape ?
have a nice weekend too !
