I will check them out. We do use a lot of natives here in Idaho. I just did a design and installation for a market and used small masses of natives that will be showy at different times of the year. The design features some basalt and river rock in a serpentine shape with some chunks of recycled blue glass pebbles scattered among the “stream bed” so the hardscape has enough interest to stand on its own. I uses oregon grape, golenrod, yarrow, bearberry, some blue bunching fescue, and some native dragon’s blood sedum. Nothing terribly original, but its a fun little installation and it stops people in their tracks to try to figure out the “water.” I like little surprises of fun and color that are low maintenance.
