Land8: Landscape Architects Network

In the eve of my graduation from Landscape Architecture program at UCLA, I was wondering what are the prospects of gaining some work experience in Europe. My concern is mainly with today’s economy. Can anyone comment on that?

Hey all…LA in Kenya is stil young, we have to keep justifying ourselves more often than not. I recently started working at an engineering firm and i must say its a bit lonely.

ya the day I was supposed to come visit the mountains near me got 28 inches, it was amazing. ya i will keep that gradual change in mind for my next one it also looks darker on here because auto levels on photoshop is a bit over kill. but i definately didnt need to pick up the scarlet when doing the brick work i wanted to tear it up as soon as i did that

Likewise! i need to work on my colors though i have a tendency to go way too bold. how was seattle?

I’ve got a very straight forward manual for 3ds Max called “3ds Max Architectural Visualization.” I use it all the time for reference and unlike most program manuals its very easy to follow. Pretty much covers all the basics. Just follow this link and the password is “dallas”.

David Fano is really good, he worked (works?) at SHoP architects in NY and has started a consulting company that show firms how to implement digital technology.

Plus he is very active on the site so you can ask him questions or request he do a tutorial on something.

checked out designreform. havent taken a look at any tutorials yet but looks promising. quite a few tutorials, thanks for the link… ill check it out when i have time to breathe
