Hi Jennifer I am studying for the exam and will be taking it the end of the month.
I am looking for any feedback from people that have previously taken the exam.. what have you been studying mostly? I have been going through the websites mentioned on the PPI candidate guide the Model Efficient Landscape Ordinance…any other helpful hints on what to study or exam resources would be much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

Critical Path Analysis – Determines which activities depend on which, activities duration, what activities can occur at the same time.
Is this used in the Project managemant stage after the design phase and plans are done?
When is this performed and who usually does the analysis?
Also, Gantt Charts: graphically displays projects various activities, durations start and end times, and relationships.
When would one be used? analysis, design, or construction phase?
PERT charts… Project evaluation and review techniques, scehdule of task, cost, and time.
When would this be used? Analysis, Design or construction phase?
Thanks!

1. In regards to Public Participation Meetings…how should they be structured and wnen to divide up into focus groups? Who should lead the discussions… and how are they chosen? Should these meetings be timed?
It seems that a designated person should be chosen to lead discussion starting w/ broader questions first…narrowing to more specific later.
2. Also, a stakeholder..is that anyone that may have a personal or financial connection to a given project?
3. On Lot Coverage calculations..do you include setbacks?
4. Has anyone heard of the term Traditions Orientated Design? Seems like Transit Oriented design is designed around the pedestrian and public transportation.
Thanks for any responses.
March 7, 2011 at 5:32 am #164496NatiraParticipantThanks Veenu.
I was just taking a practice test and the question was:
Which factor does not influence the amount or volume of surface runoff?
a. site slope
b. size of watershed
c. rainfall amount
d. existing storm drainage system
The answer was site slope…I thought the slope would affect amount or volume of runoff for a steeper slope then less water absorbing into the ground = more runoff.
Any thoughts?
